Director, Account Manager Team

Domanicare, a nationally recognized and award-winning grief support and aftercare provider in the end-of-life professional space, is looking for a dynamic leader to provide coaching and direction to our growing team of Account Managers.  Successful candidates will manage a team of account managers helping them provide our clients with an exceptional customer experience designed to grow and retain their funeral home business in all 50 states and Canada.  Our focus is to enhance the customer experience within the end-of-life profession.

Although this is a hybrid position, candidates must be located in the Lehi, Orem or greater Salt Lake City, UT area.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Recruit, train, and develop a successful team of account managers keeping them motivated to provide exemplary service to our funeral home, cemetery, pet loss and hospice business clients.
  • In partnership with our leadership team, continually seek ways to meet changing client needs, develop innovative solutions, and proactively grow our business.
  • Serve as “player-coach” by personally maintaining a small group of key customers helping them use our first in class aftercare, CX and and grief support tools, understand their utilization trends, introduce them to new offering designed to retain and grow their business.
  • Provide leadership and vision for the rapid growth this team is experiencing.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities to be successful in this position:

  • A four-year degree is preferred with emphasis in business, marketing, or sales.  Appropriate experience will be given subjective weight.
  • A minimum of five years in B2B account management with demonstrated skill in customer support, up-selling of tools and products, and customer retention.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in developing and managing a team providing support, vision, and guidance needed to help them achieve success.  Ability to assess performance strengths and areas for further development.
  • Prior experience in high growth start-up organizations in a niche markets a plus!
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present ideas to a wide variety of audiences to gain their understanding and motivate action.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data and turn it into information to make thoughtful decisions and develop a course of action.
  • Self-motivated individual who can serve as “player-coach” for their team.
  • Creative problem-solver
  • Strong relationship building skills a must – both with business owners and employees.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office products at an intermediate level.
  • This is a hybrid position with preference given to individuals living in the Lehi, Orem or greater Salt Lake City, UT area.
