Introduction

As a Project Manager in our Planning and Development department, you will be responsible for the execution of strategically aligned projects. You will be able to take change in stride and continue to deliver results. This role requires strong leadership and forward thinking in order to deliver valuable solutions.

 

More specifically, you will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering projects that provide exceptional business value to users. The Project Manager may be responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility projects using both agile and traditional methods that may cross multiple business divisions.

 

In performing this role, you will be expected to use a high level of knowledge and experience in blending traditional project management principles and practices with an agile development approach in the right proportions to fit large, complex, mission-critical, enterprise-level projects and provide the right balance of agility and predictability.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study such as: management information, computer science, information technology, or business with emphasis in information technology.  Applicable experience will be given subjective weight.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager using both traditional and agile approaches with a proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects.

  • Experience with project management software, such as MS Project and Jira.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and external customers, technical and non-technical staff, stakeholders, and development teams.

  • Ability to understand technology and business processes and how the two are dependent upon one another for solution delivery.

  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).

  • Able to work independently, be a collaborative team player, excellent time management and prioritization skills, able to manage a heavy workload at times, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude, and providing exemplary customer service.

  • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.

  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.

  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Project Management (PMP) and Agile certifications.

  • LOMA accreditations.
